Eddie’s Ballroom dancing career started over 20 years ago. In his professional career he is a Rising Star Champion in the American Smooth division. As a Pro-Am competitor Eddie has won several Top Teacher Awards. He was featured on TLC’s reality television show Ballroom Bootcamp. Eddie also collaborates behind the scenes as a choreographer for ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
Tom Hicks started dancing at age 6 with his mom and dad. He went on to receive his B.A. and master’s degree in Ballroom Dance at BYU. He is a former international Latin and ten-dance champion both as an amateur and professional. He has competed throughout the US and represented the US internationally. He is a certified teacher, judge and DVIDA examiner. He previously owned one of the largest studios in L.A. as well as two dance sports events The Golden State Challenge and the Golden State Amateur Challenge. Tom has taught and caoched many Pros and Amateur dancers as well as choreographed routines for numerous shows and exhibitions including “Dancing with the Stars” and competitive ice dancing.
Nasrin Mofrad co-founded Century Dancesport in 2009. After a lifelong passion for the art and beauty of ballroom dancing, Nasrin decided to open a dance studio in order to share her passion and enthusiasm for the sport with Orange County. Despite a busy and successful career as one of Orange County’s most well respected hairdressers, she still finds time to indulge in her true passion and perfect her skill as a ballroom dancer.
Slava and Valeriia Kostianets earned the titles of 2012 WDCLAL World Champions in International Ballroom Formation Division in Paris and IDU World Championships Finalists in International Ballroom Division, Youth Under 21. Slava and Valeriia are twin brother and sister, and they currently compete together in Open Professional American Smooth. They are recent Finalists in Open Professional American Smooth and are ranked in the top 3 of the Rising Star Finalists.
Pascui moved to Los Angeles from Mexico City at the age of 18. With a passion for the arts, she studied at UC Irvine and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Film and Media. Pascui’s love of dancing led her to her partner and husband Peter Krajewski. In her professional competitive career Pascui focused mainly on the International Latin Division. Before turning pro she was a finalist in the US National Championships. Sharing her lifelong love of dancing with her students makes her life purposeful and fulfilling.
Roxx Anna was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Southern California. Her dance training began as early as high school when she studied Ballet Folkorico, ballet and drama. She began dancing ballroom in 2011, specializing in American Smooth and Rhythm, Salsa, and Bachata. Her other specialties include wedding choreography. Roxx Anna has appeared in music videos and productions and performed in showcases and performances at renowned venues including the Fox Theater in Pomona and the Logos Lifetime Enterprises Indestructible Wealth Conference.
Before Alexandra came to Century, she completed her in BA in English at UC Berkeley and her MFA in Exhibition Design and Museum Studies at CSU Fullerton. She never expected that her life’s path would cross with ballroom, and that she would experience over four amazing years of working among truly talented dancers and new friends that would become incredibly dear to her heart. She is so grateful for that twist of fate and for all the friendships created around this wonderful art of dance.
During her time with Century, Alexandra has worked passionately to hone her dance skills through shows and competitions. She currently competes in ProAm Latin with her incredible teacher Peter Krajewski.
Alexandra’s dance journey has been made even more meaningful through the love and support of her husband Chris, her precious baby Dominic (born during her time with Century) and her family.
Peter started dancing at the age 6 in his birth town Gdynia, Poland. He immediately found the passion of his life … to dance. His love and dedication to dance lead him to became National Champion, World Semi-finalist and winner of many prestigious competitions in Poland, Russia, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, USA and many more. In 2008 he also performed in many live concerts, shows and even landed a role as one of the lead dancers for the hit Polish TV show “Name the Tune,” and a part dancing the Paso Doble in the Polish movie “Love & Dance (Kochaj I Tancz).” In 2010, after graduating from a Sports University, he came to the United States to continue his dancing career as a professional dancer and coach. In 2013 Peter began judging in collegiate competitions. He loves to learn new techniques and styles of dance, to choreograph routines for shows, and most importantly to share his passion and knowledge of dance with others.– “What is most important to me as a teacher is to help my students reach their full dancing potential (no matter the level) in a trustworthy, fun yet challenging atmosphere!” –Peter teaches all levels and ages in International Standard & Latin, American Smooth & Rhythm, as well as many other social dances such as Salsa, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, and many more.
Moses was born and raised in South Tucson Arizona and has over 20 years of dance experience. Moses’ talent and natural ability in Martial Arts and gymnastics spiraled into local dance stardom at a young age. Performing in many events and shows Moses quickly established a future in dance. Moses has training in Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and many ballroom and Latin dance styles. He has trained with some of the top professionals and coaches in the industry. Within the first year of competition Moses became one of the Top Rising Star professionals from Arizona in American Rising Star Rhythm. He and his professional partner were Rising Star finalists and won several nationally recognized and local competitions. His passion for choreography led him to choreograph and direct several sold out shows. Moses was featured on the KGUN9 Television Show “The Morning Blend,” and in 2015 Moses landed a job to perform alongside Katy Perry at the Pepsi Super Bowl Half Time Show. In addition to dancing he is currently working on a clothing line designed for dancers and athletes.
As you all know, Jessica is one of the friendly faces behind Century Dancesport’s front desk at nights, and she is also a social worker during the day. Jessica has been with the studio from the start, (she even helped paint the place), and she has over eight years of dance experience under her belt. She is a regular performer in all the studio’s showcases, and she has earned high competition marks and placed first in her scholarship category at CA Open. Jessica’s dancing continues to get better and better and both her teachers Dawid and Eddie do their best to keep up with her!
